5 Ways To Make Your Airbnb Upsells Classy (Not Tacky!)

Here are our top 5 tips to help you make your short-term rental amenities memorable & valuable - think a 5-star hotel, not nickel and diming.

  1. Whatever you can give for free, give.

    Boost their experience and your reviews.

  2. If you sell low-cost items, consider bundling them.

    If you do want to sell lower-cost items, bundle them into a cute package of goods. Same thing goes for hangover kits or snacks. Guests love a package of goods... especially if it's branded to your listing or location.

  3. Always position your upsells and extra amenities as a value-add.

    You are never "selling" anything; you are enhancing their stay by providing additional services... that generally come with a cost. For example, massage therapy, mid-stay cleaning, extra firewood (after your guests have already gone through what you provided for them).

  4. Guests love (and will purchase) unique additions to their stay.

    A charcuterie board in the shape of the team logo for the Super Bowl? Count us in! (Note: we have someone that can create and deliver this to your guest.)

  5. Ask your guests what additional services and amenities they'd like!
