Order Cancellation Policy
Sometimes orders need to be cancelled. This policy explains when and how you (as a host/seller) can cancel an order, what happens after, and how refunds work.
1. Cancelling an Order
You may cancel an order under certain conditions. To cancel:
Go to your Orders section in your Host Co dashboard.
Find the specific order, select a cancellation option (or “Refund Order”) under the Orders page.
Confirm the cancellation.
Make sure you do this promptly once you know you can’t fulfill the order as promised.
2. Buyer-Requested Cancellations
If a buyer requests cancellation, your cancellation policy on each offering will take precedence
3. After Cancellation
If an order is cancelled, a full refund goes to the buyer automatically if payment had already been made.
4. Refund Issues
If there’s trouble issuing a refund (e.g. payment method issue), you’ll be notified. You may need to attempt the refund again.
If the buyer doesn’t receive the refund and the issue isn’t resolved, the buyer may escalate the matter (e.g. open a dispute) and The Host Co may intervene.
5. Best Practices & Notes
Be clear in your store’s terms about cancellations: when they’re allowed, what counts, and any time limits.
Respond quickly to buyer requests and cancellation notifications.
Keep all communication polite and transparent to maintain trust.
