Exit and enter through the gift shop.

Now you can add your Guidebook within your Host Co store: immediately showing your guests what's available, increasing your upsell revenue through visibility and cutting down on sending your guests multiple links. Like the hotels say, enter through the gift shop!

Listen to this host’s experience once they added their guidebook:

Once I added my guidebook to my Host Co store, my sales tripled. Now I tell guests if they want more info about the home to check out our store and it’s getting A LOT more visibility.

Plus, we’ve now created a free guidebook template for you, so you can save time and get it up right away. Click here to access our template!

Step 1: Add Your Guidebook’s Link as a Product

On your Host Co dashboard, select the option to add a new product, then click “External Link.” Here, you can upload an enticing image of your guidebook cover, craft a compelling description, and title it appropriately - "Welcome Guide" or "Our Guidebook" are great starters.

Please note: to add external links to your store, subscribe to our Pro Plan for $15/month. This also allows you to add any affiliate partners you may have - West Elm, Cats.com, BabyQuip… the list goes on. Well worth it!

Step 2: Pin to the Top of Your Store

Once your guidebook is live, pin it to the top of your store. This positioning ensures it's the first thing guests see. We also recommend you pin a couple of your top selling products, like late check-outs, early check-ins, or your local masseuse!

Step 3: Mention It in Your Automated Messaging

Incorporate a mention of your guidebook (via your Host Co store) in your welcome message. Here’s a crafted example that you can personalize:

"Thanks for booking {your listing name} for your upcoming trip. We'll be in touch a day in advance with check-in instructions. Below is a welcome guide with more info on the house/area if you need it!

{your store link}

Through our store, you can also add an early check-in, late check-out, an extra guest (more than 2), or to take advantage of local services like a massage or private yoga class. All in the link above!

Thanks for booking and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions."

This not only promotes your guidebook but also highlights the convenience of directly accessing your Host Co store for additional services and products. Enter and exit through the gift shop!
